Collaborating with Jack Porter, SEG Systems was able to produce a  centerpiece honoring retired basketball player numbers at Michigan State University. As the highest honor a player can be given, Michigan State was looking for a memorable and worthy tribute for their teammates. SEG Systems built a custom millwork console using curved wood and white laminated wood with integrated LED light technology all around.

Curved frames and custom LED panels were fitted into the counter display with vinyl to create recessed lit silicone edge graphics to show off each player’s success story. On the bottom edge, green LED lighting shined around the curved console. To complete, a custom center podium was designed to support a Spartan head form with lit custom 3D acrylic lettering beneath it reading “Elite of the Elite” to create a true commemoration for Michigan State’s basketball players.

This skyline lightbox fabric frame montage keeps the room bright and boasts artwork of Uptown Charlotte. Using a 4.75″ extrusion, this montage was powder coated and made up of six lightboxes. A similar fabric frame montage was created using SEG’s 1.5 extrusion that was powder coated white for a clean finish. Check out one of our other office projects

White walls are boring – why not take fabric for a “ride”?  This full-width wall treatment is a non-lit fabric frame inserted into a 1.5” thin aluminum frame that creates a large wall mural. With minimal wall preparation needed, adding a fabric frame to a wall is an easy way to decorate a space when paint or vinyl is not an option.

Simply assemble the SEG frame with an Allen Wrench, screw the frame to the wall, and insert your silicone edge graphic print. Need assistance? Our SEG Systems Assembly Guides should do the trick. Worried about wrinkles? The large-scale dye-sublimated fabric graphic print smooths out once tension is applied and the silicone edge corners are secure. Interested in seeing more? Transform your space into an indoor-outdoor experience! This Verizon waiting room features recessed illuminated art with an abstract graphic, creating an illusion of being outdoors. These floor-to-ceiling lightboxes also mimic the scenic windows throughout the building. To amplify the nature theme, millwork beams were integrated between the wall-mounted lightboxes.

Create a feature wall with silicone edge graphics at the end of a hallway to keep people moving! This example at Elon University includes two 1.5” deep aluminum extrusions assembled to create a frame for an SEG graphic. A wooden laminated block separates each SEG graphic in order to highlight the custom 3D letters representing this team’s brand. Easily change out the silicone edge graphics while still representing the brand with one commonality – the wooden feature piece. To add to the brand’s cohesion, this same look has been added to the team’s gym and locker area for a uniform SEG systems look.
